Snugg partners with Heat Save Scotland to offer easier installations

If you live in Scotland Central Belt postcodes G, ML, FK and E, you can now get simple and quick installation service from Heat Save Scotland - the latest Snugg platform partner.

How does the partnership work?

Snugg customers have been able to build their home efficiency improvement plan in a few clicks since we launched the platform in 2022. But until now, finding an installer to fit your efficiency improvements has involved leaving the platform to search for a local installer.

Our goal has always been to bring this functionality into the Snugg platform, and we’re pleased to roll the first phase of this functionality out to customers in the Scotland Central Belt.

If you live in Scotland Central Belt postcodes G, ML, FK and E, you’ll be able to use the Snugg platform to:

  1. Create your home efficiency improvement plan
  2. Find an installer
  3. Select the improvement or improvements you want a quote for
  4. Choose when you’re available for a call

Heat Save Scotland will call you at your preferred time to discuss your needs and, if helpful, send a retrofit assessor to advise on the installations.

By integrating local installers into the Snugg platform, the partnership will allow you to identify improvements and manage your home installation from beginning to end.

Why have we partnered with Heat Save Scotland?

At Snugg, our mission is to make energy-efficient homes simple and affordable for everyone. So we’re building a one-stop-shop online platform to help you make your home more energy efficient.

Last year, we developed the platform to identify your home’s current energy efficiency status, suggest which energy efficiency improvements to install, and present a tailored list of suitable grants and financing options.

The next step was to add the ability to connect you with qualified quality-approved installers to quote for the work and assess your home’s requirements, which we’ve now done in partnership with Heat Save Scotland.

Our Chief Commercial Officer, Mike Teall, says: “It’s fantastic that we’re now helping our customers to actually make energy efficiency improvements to their home, delivering immediate and lasting reductions to their energy bills. This is another step towards providing a comprehensive service for all our users.”

Gemma Grogan, Managing Director at HeatSave Scotland, says: “Our partnership with Snugg will enable many Scottish homeowners to benefit from our years of experience in retrofitting properties with energy-efficient heating and insulation measures. This will help homeowners save much-needed money on their heating bills while allowing them to reduce their carbon footprint - a massive win all around!”

Heat Save Scotland is a Glasgow-based business. Its mission is to end fuel poverty by helping people in Scotland heat their homes for less. With over 20 years of experience in insulation and heating, they’re TrustMark approved with guarantees on workmanship and materials.

What about people outside of Scotland?

We hope to offer a similar service for those living in England and Wales later this year, and for those living in Northern Ireland in the very near future.
